Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone has admitted that he and his teammates are "desperate" to pick up their first Premier League win of the season.
The Black Cats are currently in 17th place in the table with five points from their opening six games.
Gus Poyet's side boasts one of the best defensive records in the league with just six goals conceded, but Mannone is eager for more points to be collected in the coming weeks.
"We wanted to reduce the goals and we've done that, but we're desperate to win," he told BBC Sport. "We are happy about the clean sheets - once we get three points I think we'll have a good season."
Sunderland have the chance to record their first victory on Saturday when they welcome Stoke City to the Stadium of Light.
