Walsall manager Dean Smith was amazed that their League One match against Swindon Town on Boxing Day was not abandoned due to "farcical" weather.
The Robins scored three second-half goals to win 4-1 in snowy conditions at the Bescot Stadium, but Smith has insisted that it should never have got that far.
He told reporters: "In the second half I thought the game should have been abandoned. It was farcical."
Asked whether he thought that the game should have been stopped because the lines were disappearing or due to the conditions underfoot, Smith replied: "A bit of both. I couldn't mark the referee because I couldn't see him."
The defeat was Walsall's first in eight games and leaves them 15th in the table.
