Wycombe Wanderers, Northampton Town fined by Football Association

The FA fines Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town £1,000 each for failing to control their players.

Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town have each been fined £1,000 by the Football Association for failing to control their players during a recent League Two match between the teams.

A brawl involving both sides took place towards the end of the 1-1 draw at Adams Park on October 4.

"Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town have each been fined the standard penalty of £1,000 after both clubs admitted an FA charge of failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion," read a statement on the governing body's official website.

Wycombe are back in action on Saturday when they host Dagenham & Redbridge, while Northampton travel to Luton Town.
