Castleford Tigers and Catalans Dragons share the spoils as the scores finish level in their Super League game this afternoon.

Castleford Tigers and Catalans Dragons have played out a 17-17 draw in the Super League this afternoon.

After a quiet start to the game, there were three tries inside the final 10 minutes of the first half.

Vincent Duport opened the scoring for Catalans before Jordan Thompson leveled the scores, only for Louis Anderson to restore the French side's lead just before the break.

Tigers were on the attack early in the second half, Thompson looking to for his second before the hosts were penalised for a forward pass, but Michael Shenton managed to cross the try line two minutes later to reduce the Dragons' lead.

Jake Webster thought that he had given Castleford the lead as they continued their bright start to the second period, but his try was ruled out for offside.

Kirk Dixon put the hosts ahead with 15 minutes to go, but Catalans responded well, sending Damien Blanch over to level the scores.

Thomas Bosc tried to seal the match for the visitors with a drop goal with six minutes left to play, but Gareth O'Brien did the same to ensure the game finished with a draw.
