Former Springboks and Italy coach Nick Mallett has ruled out the prospect of taking a new job before June next year.
Mallett, recently linked to the England job vacated by Martin Johnson, says that he plans to spend time with his family before making the next step in his career.
The former Stade Francais coach has already ruled himself out of taking the RFU job and has also said that he does not want a second stint in charge of South Africa.
"I've not spoken to anyone about international coaching positions, but I would consider each on their own merits if it happens." said Mallett.
"I have been contacted regarding a few coaching jobs in France, but I don't think I'll take anything before June next year."
Northampton Saints boss Jim Mallinder remains the favourite to take over from Martin Johnson.
