Novak Djokovic brushed aside America's Andy Roddick to reach the third round of the men's Olympic singles this afternoon.
After an even start to the match, Australian Open champion Djokovic broke through in game six before again breaking two games later for a 6-2 success in the opening set.
Djokovic continued to pummel Roddick and clinched his seventh game in a row to move 3-0 ahead in the second before Roddick got back on the board.
However, the American could do little to stop Djokovic marching into the last 16 as the Serb took a double break before serving out the second 6-1.
The world number two next takes on either Croatian 13th seed Marin Cilic or Australian veteran Lleyton Hewitt.
