Defending champion Novak Djokovic has raced into the third round at Wimbledon, beating Jarkko Nieminen in straight sets on Centre Court.
The top seed was on the back foot early on as the Finn broke Djokovic's serve in the opening game of the match, but the world number one recovered quickly to lead 4-3.
Nieminen, who was taking part in Wimbledon for the final time before retiring, was unable to maintain the level of tennis that he played in the opening couple of games, allowing his opponent to get the break of serve and claim the first set.
Djokovic's dominance continued in the second set as he raced to a 4-1 lead before having to save a couple of break points, but he escaped unscathed to extend his lead.
Nieminen fought hard to stay with the Serb in the third set, but Djokovic proved too strong, needing just one break to serve out the straight-sets victory.
Djokovic will face Australia's Bernard Tomic in the third round.
