Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara has admitted that his side were second best during their 2-0 defeat at home to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
The Terrors boss felt that his team conceded sloppy goals and failed to contain Dons striker Adam Rooney, who found the net twice in the first half.
"Aberdeen deserved the victory. They were the better team and we gave away two sloppy goals," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.
"I'm disappointed because that's our first defeat at home. First half, we didn't handle Adam Rooney."
The result leaves Aberdeen level on points with third-placed United in the table.
