Alexandre Pato has revealed that the Corinthians supporter helped persuade him to leave AC Milan.
The Brazilian completed a move back to his homeland at the start of the January transfer window in Europe after nearly six years in Italy.
Pato, who has suffered from a spate of injuries during his time with the Rossoneri, said that he is determined to give back to the fans, who have welcomed him "with open arms".
"I decided to come back because I felt the warmth of the Corinthians fans," he told Globo Esporte.
"That was what helped me choose. It is a new adventure and I want to give my best for the fans.
"I have a four-year contract and I'm incredibly happy – I've been welcomed with open arms."
Pato left Internacional to join Milan in 2007.
