Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey is reportedly close to signing a new long-term contract with Arsenal.
Ramsey, 27, will see his current deal expire at the end of the 2018-19 season, and the midfielder's future at the Emirates Stadium has been the subject of much speculation.
Last month, it was reported that Arsenal were refusing to be held to ransom over Ramsey's new contract, with the Welshman believed to be demanding wages in excess of £200,000 a week.
However, according to football.london, there has now been a breakthrough in discussions, and it is understood that Ramsey is nearing an agreement with the Gunners over a fresh contract.
Ramsey has scored 59 times and registered 57 assists in 335 appearances for Arsenal since joining the London club from Cardiff City in 2008.
Chelsea and Manchester United were both said to be closely monitoring developments at the Emirates Stadium, but now look likely to drop their interest.
