Bolton Wanderers are reportedly in the race to sign Republic of Ireland international Keith Andrews after his surprise release by West Bromwich Albion.
Andrews was expected to sign a new deal with the Baggies until Roy Hodgson left the Hawthorns to take the England job.
Bolton boss Owen Coyle sees the 31-year-old as the man to replace Nigel Reo-Coker in his side's midfield as they look to earn promotion back to the Premier League first time round.
Reo-Coker has taken up the option of a release clause in his contract after the Trotters were relegated and has been linked with a move to the Baggies this summer.
Championship new boys Huddersfield Town are also keen Andrews, who is currently with the Irish squad at Euro 2012, with a lucrative three-year deal rumoured to have already been offered.
