Celtic announce the signing of Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda on an 18-month loan.

Celtic have announced the signing of Charly Musonda from Chelsea on loan.

The 21-year-old Belgian, who can play as an attacking midfielder or winger, will continue his development during an 18-month spell in Glasgow.

On Monday morning, Musonda touched down in Scotland to undergo a medical and thrash out the final details of the temporary deal.

Chelsea still regard the youngster as a player for the future, having tied him down to a new contract just last month.

Musonda, who joined the Blues' academy from Anderlecht in 2012, made his debut for the club this season, making seven appearances and scoring once.
