Corinthians: 'Alexandre Pato available for £18.6m'

Eduardo Ferreira, the deputy director of football at Brazilian side Corinthians, suggests that Brazil international striker Alexandre Pato can leave the club for £18.6m.

Eduardo Ferreira, the deputy director of football at Brazilian side Corinthians, has told reporters that striker Alexandre Pato can leave the club for £18.6m.

The 26-year-old - who joined Corinthians from AC Milan in 2013 - is currently on loan at Sao Paulo, where he has scored 33 goals in 81 appearances.

Pato is due to return to Corinthians in January, but the club are currently in financial turmoil, and Ferreira has named a price for the Brazil international forward.

"At the moment there are only enquiries. But if a club comes in with an offer of €25m [£18.6m], we will let him go, otherwise he will return," Ferreira is quoted as saying by Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte.

Pato was linked with a move to a number of Premier League sides in the summer, including Chelsea and Manchester United.
