Hull City defender Paul McShane has admitted that he thought he had played his last game for the club after he fell out with manager Steve Bruce earlier this season.
McShane played for Hull in their 1-1 draw at Manchester City on Saturday in what was his first start for the club since early November.
Asked if he thought he would play for the club again, he told BBC Sport: "To be honest, no I didn't but there is always hope. You can't hold grudges in football, it is such a short career. You have got to make peace with the past when you move forward."
McShane helped Hull earn their first Premier League point since New Year's Day.
