Adnan Januzaj "shocked" to receive Manchester United Premier League debut

Adnan Januzaj expresses his shock at being given his Premier League debut for Manchester United against Crystal Palace.

Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has admitted that he never expected to be handed his Premier League debut this early in the season.

The 18-year-old replaced Ashley Young in the second half of United's 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

"I felt great and shocked because I played for about 25 minutes and that was my first [league] game," Januzaj told MUTV.

"I think I did some good things, but it is only my debut so I have to keep doing well on the pitch.

"Of course, I want more games to play and I hope I will have another chance to play for the first team. If I have the chance then I will give everything for the club."

Januzaj also played a role in the Red Devils' FA Community Shield win over Wigan Athletic before the start of the season.
