Arjen Robben's father has reportedly tried to cool rumours that Manchester United are keen on signing the Bayern Munich star this summer.
It has been reported that Louis van Gaal, who is expected to be named as David Moyes's permanent successor at Old Trafford in the coming days, is interested in taking Robben back to the Premier League.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the Netherlands international's father has claimed that there is mutual respect between Robben and Van Gaal, but the ex-Chelsea player is happy at Bayern.
The 30-year-old's father is believed to have also claimed that he is not expecting United to launch a bid, but would not be surprised if one was eventually submitted this summer.
Robben's contract ties him to Bayern until 2017.
