Newcastle United's striking duo Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse will not be competing at the Africa Cup of Nations next January.
Both frontmen had been expected to represent Senegal in the competition, which is being hosted by South Africa.
However, Senegal were eliminated from the qualification rounds earlier today after the Confederation of African Football awarded the Ivory Coast a 2-0 victory from the match between the two nations.
The original fixture on Sunday was abandoned due to crowd trouble.
West Ham United's Mohamed Diame will also now stay in the Premier League with the Hammers.
