Eight people have been shot dead in greater Sao Paolo during celebrations for Palmeiras's Brazilian Cup final win, police say.
Gunmen on motorbikes opened fire on a crowd of people in the town of Osasco on Thursday after a 1-1 draw with Curitiba saw the team clinch a 3-1 aggregate victory.
The win has earned Palmeiras the right to play in next season's Copa Libertadores.
Local police said that there was no link between the killings and the result of the football match.
Seven people died at the scene while another passed away in hospital. One further person was injured.
