Stevenage sign Dean Wells and Calvin Zola

League Two side Stevenage sign Braintree's Dean Wells and striker Calvin Zola from Aberdeen.

League Two side Stevenage have signed Braintree's Dean Wells and striker Calvin Zola after his release from Aberdeen.

Defender Wells, 29, has signed for the club with a 12-month option, while striker Zola had the final 12 months of his Dons contract cancelled this week.

Zola scored three times in 20 Scottish Premier League appearances last season.

Wells had been sharing football with a job as a school caretaker, while making 110 Conference Premier appearances since 2011.
