Valencia have confirmed that an agreement is in place to sign Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez when the transfer window reopens on Friday.
The La Liga club have been chasing Perez for a number of months, and they have paid a reported £19.5m to secure the services of the Argentine, who will have a medical on Tuesday.
"Valencia Club de Futbol and SL Benfica have reached an agreement for the transfer of Enzo Nicolas Perez, on a permanent deal that will be made official on January 2, 2015," a statement on Valencia's official website read. "The move is subject to the player passing a medical."
Perez, who has been linked with Manchester United in the past, was a member of the Argentina squad which reached the World Cup final in the summer.
