West Bromwich Albion forward Nicolas Anelka is reportedly expected to accept a five-match ban for his controversial 'quenelle' gesture.
A independent regulatory commission issued the suspension last week after the player made the alleged anti-semitic gesture during a goal celebration against West Ham United.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Anelka is expected to accept the suspension and £80,000 fine after receiving the written reasons from the commission explaining why he was found guilty.
It has also been reported that the Football Association are not planning to appeal against the leniency of the suspension and request an extended ban.
Anelka, who has been suspended by West Brom, has also been told to undergo an educational programme.
