West Ham United have reportedly made a £26.7m bid for Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez.
Gomez scored 17 La Liga goals during an impressive 2017-18 campaign at Celta, before representing Uruguay at the 2018 World Cup.
Sevilla have previously been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old, although it was reported earlier this summer that Celta would not sell the forward for anything under his £44m release clause.
According to Radio Galega, West Ham have launched an offer in the region of £26.7m, with Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini desperate to bring the striker to the London Stadium.
The capital club are also believed to be on the verge of signing 21-year-old attacker Xande Silva from Vitoria de Guimaraes.
