Liam Rosenior has paid tribute to his Hull City teammates for the way in which they have boosted their survival prospects recently.
Steve Bruce's side followed up Saturday's 2-0 win at Crystal Palace with a 1-0 victory over Liverpool on Tuesday to move 15th, four points clear of the drop zone.
It represents a marked upturn in fortunes for a team that had failed to win any of their last six before beating Palace, and Rosenior says that the future looks bright regardless where they end up.
"It's not just that we have won the games but the style in which we have won the games," he is quoted as saying by BT Sport.
"When you're under pressure and down there, teams tend to kick and fight and scrap out a 1-0 win. But the performance levels and the way we played bodes well for the future.
"It's not just down to character. We have a lot of quality players here and I'm delighted they have been able to show under such extreme pressure what good players they are."
Hull host Arsenal at the KC Stadium on Monday night.
