Middlesbrough have completed the loan signing of Southampton defender Sam McQueen.
McQueen, 23, made eight appearances for Southampton in all competitions last term but has been deemed surplus to requirements at St Mary's for the 2018-19 campaign.
The versatile defender will now spend the rest of the season on loan at Boro, following Aden Flint, Paddy McNair, Andy Lonergan, Jordan Hugill and Muhamed Besic to the Championship club.
"Sam McQueen has joined Boro from Southampton on a season-long loan deal. The 23-year-old completed the formalities of his switch at Rockliffe on Thursday morning," read a statement on Boro's official website.
Boro will take on Leeds United in a top-of-the-table clash on Friday night.
