Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has acknowledged that he is open to ending his career at former club Lyon.
Before linking up with Los Blancos in 2009, Benzema enjoyed an impressive spell at Lyon, contributing 66 goals from 150 appearances in all competitions.
Although the Frenchman suggests that he wishes to remain at the Bernabeu for the foreseeable future, the 32-year-old has revealed that he is interested in another spell in Ligue 1.
Speaking to Lyon's television station, Benzema said: "I am what I am today thanks to Lyon. As for going back, now is not the right moment; I want to keep making history at Real Madrid, which is the best team in the world.
"But after that, you never know. Finish my career at Lyon? Why not?"
Benzema currently has just over two years remaining on his contract at Real.
