Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis hints that the club are close to signing Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has hinted that the Italian outfit could be close to signing Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

It had initially been suggested that the Serie A side wanted to sign the Brazilian on loan, but R's boss Harry Redknapp recently quelled such claims.

However, De Laurentiis told reporters at a press conference on Thursday: "Something more will be known tonight."

Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the former Inter Milan stopper.
