Maxwell hoping to use inside knowledge

Paris Saint-Germain defender Maxwell has plans to stop Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Neymar in their Champions League clash in Paris this evening.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Maxwell has revealed that he plans to use his inside knowledge to help his team overcome Barcelona in the Champions League this evening.

Maxwell represented Barcelona between 2009 and 2012 – years when Lionel Messi was starting to hit his prime form for the Catalan outfit.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian has played alongside Barca's Neymar for his country and is hopeful of using that knowledge in Paris this evening.

"Barcelona recovered their strength, the couple formed by Neymar and Messi can surprise you with anything," he told reporters at a press conference.

"It's always difficult to play against footballers of this level, capable of combining together so well. I know both of them and this can help us stop them, though they really are special players."

PSG and Barcelona met in the quarter-finals of the 2012-13 competition, with the Spanish side advancing on away goals.
