Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted that he hopes Frank Lampard will be at the club next season.
The midfielder recently claimed that his relationship with the coach was "not ideal" following rumours of a row between the pair.
Asked whether he hoped that the 33-year-old would still be a Chelsea player next season, Villas-Boas said: "I hope so.
"It does not depend on me. It depends on three parts - I want him, the person wants to stay and the club wants him."
The Blues are currently fifth in the Premier League table after Saturday's 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers.
