Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina could miss the Merseyside derby against Everton with a hamstring injury, admits assistant manager Colin Pascoe.

Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe has revealed that goalkeeper Pepe Reina is still a doubt for their clash with Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Spaniard is struggling with a hamstring injury and will sit out the Reds' Europa League encounter against Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday.

"We are not quite sure at the moment," said Pascoe. "Hopefully not too long. He is doing his rehab at the moment and is working hard in training.

"So we will just have to assess him over the weekend and we will see then."

Liverpool are currently 12th in the Premier League table with nine points from eight matches.
