Marouane Fellaini, Robert Huth handed three-match bans

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Leicester City centre-back Robert Huth will both serve three-match bans with immediate effect.

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Leicester City centre-back Robert Huth will both serve three-match bans with immediate effect.

On Wednesday, the two players were issued with violent conduct charges by the Football Association after clashing during the first half of Sunday's 1-1 draw between Man United and new Premier League champions Leicester at Old Trafford.

At a corner, Huth appeared to pull the hair of Belgian international Fellaini, who threw an elbow into the German's face in retaliation.

The incident was missed by the match officials, but the game's governing body has intervened and after the pair failed to contest the charges, three-match bans have been handed to both players.

Fellaini will miss Premier League games against Norwich City, West Ham United and Bournemouth, but will be available for the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on May 21. Meanwhile, Huth will miss Leicester's final two league matches against Everton and Chelsea.
