David de Gea ready to commit future to Manchester United?

Manchester United are preparing to offer David de Gea a contract extension, reports suggest.

David de Gea is close to signing a new contract that will see him stay at Manchester United until 2018, according to a report.

The Spanish goalkeeper still has two years to run on his current agreement, but David Moyes is hopeful of fending off interest from Barcelona with a package worth £90,000 per week.

The Mirror claims that Barca are considering a bid of £25m for the former Atletico Madrid player.

De Gea arrived at Old Trafford in 2011.
