Manchester United are reportedly planning to outbid Arsenal for a winger dubbed "the new Eden Hazard".
The Gunners are thought to have tabled an £18.5m offer for Lille winger Sofiane Boufal, who has scored five times in 15 appearances since his summer switch to the Ligue 1 side.
Now United manager Louis van Gaal is planning to outbid his London rivals with a £22m offer to get the deal done this month.
The sale would represent a healthy profit for the cash-strapped French side, who are believed to have paid around £3m for Boufal from Angers just six months ago.
Liverpool and Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old.
