England coach Stuart Lancaster has backed Ben Morgan to make an impact during Saturday's Rugby World Cup warm-up game against France at Twickenham Stadium.
The number eight, who will start against Les Bleus, recently returned to training after seven months out with a broken leg.
Despite a lack of action for the 26-year-old, Lancaster is confident that the Gloucester Rugby forward will give a good account of himself against France this weekend.
"I'm 100% confident he's ready to play the game, but obviously it's going to be a big step for him," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"He's got an opportunity to put his marker down but, equally, we've got other back-row options to consider as well. He's training well, he's confident and, as a consequence, we need to have a look at him."
Morgan has won 32 caps for England since 2012.
