Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ready to return to training

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to return to training next week after five months out with a knee injury.

Arsene Wenger has said that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be ready to return to training with Arsenal next week.

The winger has been out for the last five months after damaging his knee ligaments.

The manager told The Sun: "He is close to being back in training. That'll be next week but it takes time to be competitive again."

The 20-year-old picked up the injury in the 3-1 loss to Aston Villa on the opening day of the Premier League season.
