Chelsea have reportedly held 'fresh talks' with the representatives of Aurelien Tchouameni, as the Blues consider a move for the Monaco midfielder before the end of the transfer window.
Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old, who has scored four times and registered four assists in 50 appearances for his current side in all competitions.
However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently insisted that the 20-time English champions were not planning to move for the Frenchman this month.
According to transfer insider Simon Phillips, Chelsea have been in contact with the youngster's representatives to discuss a possible switch to Stamford Bridge.
Phillips claims that Thomas Tuchel's side need to make 'some big decisions' before the end of the transfer window, with the capital giants thought to be planning more signings.
Tchouameni still has three years left to run on his contract at Stade Louis II, placing Monaco in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations with the European Cup holders.
