Ian Holloway promised Blackpool get-out clause

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is promised that he will be allowed to leave Bloomfield Road to manage a top club.

Blackpool owner Karl Oyston has told Ian Holloway that he will be allowed to leave Bloomfield Road to manage a top club.

Holloway will return from his Rome holiday later this week to hold contract negotiations with Oyston.

The Tangerines boss will be offered a pay rise, a bumper transfer budget and a promise that the club will not stand in his way if a bigger club come calling, according to The Mirror.

Oyston said: "I think he deserves that from me after what he has done [for Blackpool]."

Holloway joined Blackpool in May 2009.
