Swansea are currently sitting in 11th place in the Championship table after winning seven, drawing six and losing nine of their 22 league matches.
The Swans recorded their most recent victory on December 10, with Jay Fulton and Liam Cullen finding the net in a 2-1 away win over Plymouth Argyle.
That result made it four straight games without defeat, but Swansea have since experienced a couple of disappointing outings, giving up a two-goal lead in a 3-2 loss against Sunderland before falling to a 2-1 away defeat in Saturday's away clash with Hull City.
They appeared to be on course to pick up a point at the MKM Stadium after Harry Darling cancelled out Joao Pedro's opener, however, Mason Burstow ultimately scored an 80th-minute winner to condemn Swansea to their sixth away defeat of the Championship season.
Luke Williams's side will now return to the Swansea.com Stadium, where they have taken just 13 points from 10 league games this season, leaving them with the joint third-worst home record in the division.
They have also lost three of their previous four home meetings with QPR, losing each of those games by a 1-0 scoreline, including their most recent clash in April.

QPR went into the November international break at the bottom of the Championship table after mustering just 10 points from their opening 15 matches.
However, they have since managed to put together a seven-game unbeaten run, moving them up to 14th position and seven points clear of the bottom three.
The R's began their unbeaten streak with draws against Stoke City and Watford, either side of a 2-0 away win over Cardiff City, before they recorded consecutive home victories against Norwich City and Oxford United without conceding.
After playing out a 1-1 away draw with Bristol City, QPR went on to record a narrow 2-1 victory in Saturday's meeting with Preston North End at Loftus Road.
Rayan Kolli scored his third goal in four games to cancel out Milutin Osmajic's opener, before Jimmy Dunne netted an 89th-minute winner to secure a third consecutive home victory.
Having conceded just three goals in the last seven matches, the R's will look to produce another strong defensive display in Thursday's away trip, as they go in search of their third away league victory of the season.

The hosts are expected to be without the services of Joe Allen, Ollie Cooper and Kristian Pedersen due to their respective injury issues.
Josh Ginnelly and Sam Parker appear to be closing in on a return to action, but they will not be ready to play a role in the Boxing Day fixture.
Cullen will be looking to continue his recent form in the final third, having scored four goals in Swansea's previous seven matches, including strikes in each of their last three home games.
As for the visitors, they have provided the positive news that Steve Cook will not have to undergo surgery after he sustained a foot injury in the recent win over Preston.
The club were unable to give a predicted timeline for Cook's recovery, but they confirmed that he would be out for at least 10 days before he is assessed again.
QPR boss Marti Cifuentes is also without Karamoko Dembele and Zan Celar due to knee and hamstring injuries respectively.
Swansea City possible starting lineup:
Vigouroux; Key, Cabango, Darling, Tymon; Fulton, Grimes; Peart-Harris, Cullen, Eom; Vipotnik
Queens Park Rangers possible starting lineup:
Nardi; Dunne, Morrison, Fox, Paal; Field, Varane; Smyth, Morgan, Saito; Kolli
We say: Swansea City 1-1 Queens Park Rangers
Swansea will be desperate to return to winning ways following back-to-back defeats, but we think that they will have to be content with a point when they face a QPR side that have avoided defeat in each of their previous seven matches.
