Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has confirmed the German champions' interest in Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a return to his homeland with Bayern after starting just three of the Citizens' last 12 matches of 2018-19.
Sane is considered a possible replacement for departing pair Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, with the Bundesliga giants' leading marksman Robert Lewandowski urging his side to make a move for the Germany international.
Hoeness has revealed that talks are already underway between Bayern and the player's camp, telling Suddeutsche Zeitung: "We are dealing with [Sane's] people."
Sane scored 16 goals and racked up 18 assists in all competitions this season, despite playing second fiddle to Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez in the latter stages of the campaign.
