Republic of Ireland defender Darren O'Dea has joined Indian Super League outfit Mumbai City until December.
The 28-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Celtic, was one of 17 players released by Blackpool at the end of last season.
O'Dea is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "It will be a new experience, a new chapter. I am well-travelled as it is and it's something I'm looking forward to.
"[The ISL] is only in its second year, so it's still finding its feet. I've spoken to players who played there last year and it was fantastic."
O'Dea, who will play under Nicolas Anelka at Mumbai, has also played for Reading, Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Toronto and Metalurh Donetsk.
