Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer should be able to call upon Josh King for next week's FA Cup quarter-final replay against Liverpool.
The Norway international has missed his side's last seven games because of a hamstring injury.
However, he returned to full training earlier this week and if he does not make the weekend's clash against Leeds United, the striker is expected to return when the Merseysiders visit Ewood Park next Wednesday.
"We've had good news on the injury front with Josh King joining in with us for his first full session," Bowyer told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"We've got to be sensible as he's been out for a while so we'll see how he goes for the rest of the week and then make a decision on whether he will feature against Leeds."
The 23-year-old has scored four goals in all competitions this season.
