Erik ten Hag is reportedly on the verge of signing a new contract at Manchester United, with the finer details of the fresh agreement expected to be finalised 'this week'.
There had been huge doubt over the Dutchman's future at Old Trafford due to a disappointing 2023-24 Premier League campaign, which saw the Red Devils finish eighth in the Premier League table.
However, the FA Cup success over Manchester City at the end of May made it two domestic trophies for Ten Hag in his two seasons at the helm, while the victory also saw Man United qualify for the group stage of the 2024-25 Europa League.
At the end of an in-depth review of the 2023-24 campaign, senior figures at Man United, including new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe, decided to keep Ten Hag in charge.
The Dutchman's existing deal at Old Trafford is due to expire next summer, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ten Hag is now preparing to sign a new deal in Manchester.

Ten Hag 'set to sign new Man United contract'
Romano claims that the deal is 'almost agreed', with an announcement expected in the near future.
There are expected to be changes among the Man United staff this summer, though, with the club's former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy potentially arriving as an assistant manager.
Man United are believed to have been interested in appointing England head coach Gareth Southgate as their new manager, but the deal never become a possibility this summer due to Euro 2024.
Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino, who have left Bayern Munich and Chelsea respectively, were also strongly linked with the role, in addition to Brentford's Thomas Frank, and former Chelsea head coach Graham Potter.
However, it was ultimately decided that Ten Hag should remain at the helm, and the 54-year-old will now be building towards what is a very important 2024-25 campaign for the club.

When are Man United back in action?
Man United will begin their pre-season against Rosenborg on July 15, before facing Rangers five days later, with that match coming ahead of a trip to the United States.
The Red Devils will tackle Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool as part of their USA Tour, before heading back to England to take on Man City in the Community Shield.
Man United's opening match of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign will come on August 16, meanwhile, with Fulham making the trip to Old Trafford.
The 20-time English champions all also face Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool in the opening month of the new league season.
Man United's eighth-placed finish in last season's Premier League represented their worst-ever performance in the current format, and Ratcliffe will be expecting huge improvements next term.
