Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Having gone eight matches in all competitions without keeping a clean sheet, head coach Antonio Conte is under pressure to make improvements to the club's backline.
Ten goals have also been conceded in five games, the most recent two strikes being shipped during a defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.
According to Football Insider, Hincapie has been identified as a top target by club officials ahead of the summer window.
The 20-year-old, who is already a regular with Ecuador, has made a total of 21 appearances in the Bundesliga and Europa League, with 2021-22 representing his first year competing in European football.
However, the youngster has a contract until 2026, leaving Leverkusen in a strong position to demand well in excess of the approximate £6.5m fee that they shelled out last year.
