Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez: 'I am fit to play against Manchester United'

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez insists that he will be fit for Saturday's clash against Manchester United after recently recovering from a thigh problem.

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has insisted that he is fit to play in Saturday's Premier League showdown against Manchester United at Old Trafford, despite recently suffering a muscle tear.

The 27-year-old picked up a thigh problem while training with Chile during the international break last week, sparking concerns that the attacker could be on the sidelines for a significant spell.

However, the former Barcelona star returned to action on Tuesday night to score twice in Chile's 3-1 World Cup qualifying win over Uruguay.

Now, Sanchez has insisted that he feels fine heading into the lunchtime kickoff this weekend. The forward told reporters: "I will train on Friday and travel the same day to Manchester to play Saturday midday. There is no problem with me playing."

Sanchez has scored eight goals in 15 appearances for the Gunners this season so far.
