Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann praises the impact of strike partner Christian Benteke since his arrival at Villa Park.

Aston Villa Andreas Weimann has admitted that he is savouring his blossoming partnership with Christian Benteke.

Weimann and Benteke have combined to score six goals in Villa's last two matches against Norwich City and Liverpool, and the 21-year-old believes that his strike partner's physical presence is playing a major part in their form in front of goal.

Weimann told reporters: "Obviously for myself it is great to play with someone like Christian. He wins the ball and holds up and is scoring goals as well.

"You have seen that the last few weeks he has been outstanding for us up front. He is such a physical presence and I am sure if he continues he will be a tough player to face."

Villa's unbeaten run of five games has seen them move up to 14th place in the Premier League table.
