Shirt numbers available to Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai at Arsenal

Amid rumours that Dominik Szoboszlai could be on his way to Arsenal, Sports Mole looks at what shirt numbers are available for the Red Bull Salzburg ace.

Arsenal are rumoured to be in advanced talks to sign Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg this summer.

The 19-year-old has contributed 15 goals and 22 assists from his 58 outings for the Austrian club and could be available for around £25m.

Having first opened discussions with Salzburg around the turn of the year, the Gunners are said to be closing in on a deal for the talented youngster.

As the speculation continues to gather pace, Sports Mole looks at the shirt numbers available to the Hungary international should he make the switch to Arsenal.

Szoboszlai has spent the past two seasons in Salzburg's first team and has worn the number 14 shirt in both of those campaigns.

That number is currently occupied at Arsenal by skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, although he has been tipped to leave this summer.

In his solitary league appearance for Salzburg in 2017-18, Szoboszlai played with '16' on his back, which is held by Rob Holding at the Emirates Stadium.

'Ten' has recently been the Hungarian's go-to number for his national side, meanwhile, and that is another shirt that could potentially be freed up soon as Mesut Ozil has been linked with the exit.

Otherwise, it will be a case of Szoboszlai choosing from one of the numbers already available.

'Four', more commonly associated with a centre-back, is free, as are 'six', 'seven' and '12'.

Dani Ceballos's number eight - also previously worn by Aaron Ramsey, Samir Nasri, Freddie Ljungberg and current boss Mikel Arteta - will also soon be freed up once the Spaniard returns to parent club Real Madrid.
