Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten admits that he would like to see out his career with the German giants.

Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten has revealed that he wants to end his career at the Allianz Arena.

The Belgium international joined the German giants from Hamburg in 2006 and was a regular starter until last season.

However, despite becoming a bit-part player at the club, the 34-year-old is hoping to secure a new deal and see out his career.

"I want to end my career at Bayern, but not at the end of this season," said Van Buyten. "We all know how I am when it comes to negotiations. Things can go very quickly with me.

"We wouldn't even need to negotiate."

Van Buyten has made 136 league appearances in his time at Bayern.
