Peter Clarke wants to avoid a repeat of Huddersfield Town's League One playoff final defeat to Peterborough United last year.

Huddersfield Town captain Peter Clarke is determined to win the League One playoff final at Wembley and be playing Championship football next season.

The Terriers lost 2-1 at the Galpharm on Tuesday night but reached the Wembley final with a 3-2 aggregate win in the semi-finals. Clarke was part of the Huddersfield side that lost 3-0 to Peterborough United in the final at Old Trafford last year, and he is keen to avoid a repeat of that loss.

"After the disappointment of last year, it is something we want to put right," said Clarke.

"We are not [in the Championship] yet by any means. But we have given ourselves half a chance. We are going to do everything in our power to make it happen."

Town will now face Sheffield United at Wembley, with an all-Yorkshire final deciding who will advance to the Championship next season.
