David Moyes: 'Manchester United fans are loyal'

Manchester United manager David Moyes insists that the fans know that "their time will come again" following a difficult season.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has insisted that the club's fans "understand" the outfit's current position and are loyal to the cause.

The Red Devils clinched the Premier League title last season under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, but are struggling in Moyes's first season in charge.

The North-West outfit have been knocked out of the FA Cup, are seventh in the league table, and could be booted out of the Champions League due to a 2-0 deficit against Olympiacos in the last 16 of the tournament.

Despite some reports emerging that Moyes could be sacked at Old Trafford, the Scotsman has insisted that United fans are aware that "their time will come again".

"If you are a football supporter you understand what loyalty is," BBC Sport quotes Moyes as saying. "You follow the team when doing badly and when doing well.

"I think at the moment the Manchester United supporters realise there are some changes taking place and they understand that their time will come again."

United will take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
