West Ham beat ten-man Portsmouth 1-0 at Fratton Park.

West Ham have won their first game on the road in over six weeks, beating Portsmouth 1-0 at Fratton Park.

The visitors took the lead with 20 minutes gone in the first half, when Portsmouth's Tal Ben-Haim brought down Hammers defender Winston Reid in the area. Midfielder Mark Noble found the back of the net from the spot to put West Ham ahead.

Portsmouth midfielder David Norris was dismissed for a sliding tackle on Reid, just prior to the hour mark, in which both men appeared to go in with their studs showing.
